To be honest with you Posh - I think they are. Money talks and obviously with their two choices their more money based than England - so I'm presuming their bank accounts were padded prior to the voting. It's a shame, but it's probably true.
an investigation by who? They don't answer to anyone, other than the countries they 'serve'. They've got Africa, the Middle East and Eastern Europe all sewn up. I expect Japan, Korea and China are still grateful for 2002, so that just leaves the original powerbase of South America and Europe.
That's an interesting article you've posted Deeb - am more than sure that theres bribery going on, and the sooner theirs elections, the sooner it might be cut out. Although, that is very doubtful!
My perspective on FIFA came after reading the book the Ball is Round by David Goldblatt... there are a lot of anecdotes about how corrupt FIFA has been for decades.
Nik - you couldn't manage a body as powerful as FIFA , you wouldn't have a clue what to do, .
I think there's a lot of people resigning from the governing body due to the fact that they disagree with the way Sepp Blatter is running things, and with the influence from powerful and stinking rich countries, (Eg, Qatar and Russia)
